Warehouse Manager

Goyer Plumbing, renowned for its expertise in plumbing, heating, ventilation, and building mechanics, is seeking a passionate and organized Warehouse Manager to support its operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
  • Supervise the receiving, inspection, sorting, and storage of plumbing materials.
  • Prepare orders for job sites and ensure timely delivery or pickup.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
  • Manage inventory levels and submit necessary requests to buyers.
  • Track tool and equipment returns, warranties, and repairs.
  • Optimize storage space and implement efficient filing systems. Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and site teams to meet material needs.
  • Prioritize requests based on project urgency and timelines.
  • Communicate stock shortages, delays, or logistical issues.
  • Ensure the maintenance, repair, and tracking of specialized plumbing tools.
  • Manage tool checkouts and returns to employees and subcontractors.
  • Maintain an up-to-date equipment log (serial numbers, condition, location).
  • Prepare delivery slips, internal invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Apply occupational health and safety (OHS) policies.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of logistics processes.
  • Supervise and train warehouse employees.
  • Ensure that quality control is done properly.

Skills Profile:

  • Experience in warehouse management, ideally in the construction or plumbing industry.
  • Knowledge of plumbing materials, parts, and tools (a major asset).
  • Ability to use inventory management software.
  • Forklift license (an asset).
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Autonomy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment. Ability to work in a team
  • High school diploma (DES)
  • DEP in plumbing and heating (a major asset)
  • Forklift operator training
